Personal Experiences

I made my first quilt using dresses and costumes I had worn and scraps. It was a Christmas present for my mother. When it came time to set the table, I surprised her. She thought the quilt was for my sister-in-law.

Recently my brother mentioned the quilt that I gave as a wedding present needed repair. It had been some time since I had seen it even though I have pictures. Well, it was a shock when I realized how much work it took inserting one piece of Aida cloth with counted cross stitch into the diamond design (in rows) patchwork quilt I had completed over 30 years ago. Obviously this was a special gift for a special person and I give each custom quilt now I make that same commitment.
